Meet The Founder

ZahQ Goode

Artist, Muralist & Founder of GFI

Artist /// Director /// Educator

Hip Hop taught me sampling as scholarship — you cite the greats, then you cut them into something new. My murals talk back to the block, my garments carry receipts, and my runways read like public records.

I founded GOODE FASHION INSTITUTE (GFI) so creatives can own their IP, their narrative, and their supply chain. For us. By us.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you might want to know before commissioning. Don't see your question? Just ask.

Yes — custom work is the heart of the studio. Reach out through the contact form with your idea, references, timeline, and budget window. I'll respond within 1–2 business days with a scope, price, and delivery timeline.

From site visit to final documentation, most commissions run 2–6 weeks: 1–2 weeks of concept and approvals, and 3–10 days of on-wall execution depending on square footage and detail. Runway and print projects follow the show calendar we lock at kickoff.

Prints and merchandise ship worldwide. Murals and live-painted work are travel-friendly — I've painted across the tri-state and internationally by invitation. Travel and lodging are budgeted separately for out-of-market walls.

A full identity system: primary logo, secondary marks, monogram, a paired typography specimen, a defined brand color system for print and digital, and a starter asset kit — social avatars, letterhead, and a one-page style card.

Custom and commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production begins — you approve a signed proof before any brush, needle, or press. If something arrives damaged in transit, I'll replace or repair it at no cost.

Yes. GOODE FASHION INSTITUTE runs quarterly cohorts on brand-building, IP ownership, and live-experience direction for creatives. Waitlist and cohort dates are shared through Instagram and the studio newsletter.
